USAePay Partners: the reseller console and certified acquirers

USAePay's partner model was built around resellers from close to the start — the company has worked with resellers, merchants, and developers since the late 1990s, and its console reflects that channel-first history.

A reseller program built to be customized

USAePay's own description of its reseller program emphasizes flexibility over a fixed template: partners set how they want to handle their merchants, and USAePay works with them to accommodate that structure, rather than forcing every reseller into identical tiers. That shows up in practice as reseller-set pricing — rates, monthly minimums, and fees are configured by the reseller, not published centrally by USAePay.

Certified acquirer and processor partners

USAePay's help documentation lists long-standing certified relationships with major acquirers and processors, including TSYS Acquiring Solutions, First Data, Global Payments, Vantiv/Worldpay, and EPX, among others. That list is narrower than NMI's 200+-connection roster, but reflects deep, long-run certifications rather than a maximally broad one.

The reseller console itself

Where NMI's partner story centers on acquirer flexibility, USAePay's centers on the reseller console: a dedicated interface for managing a book of merchants, plus a documented knowledge base covering the console guide, glossary, and error-code references, alongside a separate Developer's Center with the gateway API and sample scripts in multiple languages.

Since the NMI acquisition

NMI acquired USAePay in February 2021. Existing USAePay resellers and merchants have continued operating on the USAePay brand and console rather than being migrated onto NMI's platform, though the shared ownership has meant closer infrastructure alignment over time. A prospective partner evaluating USAePay today is effectively evaluating a mature, reseller-first gateway that now sits inside a larger payments group.

What to ask before becoming a USAePay partner

  • Which specific acquirers and processors are certified for the vertical and geography you're selling into?
  • How is the reseller console structured for managing merchant onboarding, batching, and reporting at your expected volume?
  • What's included in the base gateway fee versus billed separately by the acquirer?
  • How has the NMI acquisition changed support, roadmap, or infrastructure since 2021?
